Privacy Policy — Status Saver

Status Saver (com.eusdesk.whatsappstatussaver) is provided by B.K Private Limited. This policy explains how the app accesses, uses, shares, retains, and protects information.

Information the App Accesses

Status Saver does not require an account. Status media and optional local histories are processed on your device, not uploaded to our servers. With your separate consent and Android notification access, Message History stores notification sender or conversation names, preview text, source app, and timestamps from WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. It does not read private message databases or contacts. Other app features and SDKs are described below.

Saved Statuses and Optional Status History

With your consent and access to a selected status folder, Status History keeps local copies of accessible photos and videos, with file references, media type, first-detected time and expiry. Capture runs while the app is active, not as continuous background monitoring. Temporary history expires seven days after capture; Android may delay physical cleanup while the app cannot run. You can pause capture or clear history. Content fingerprints may remain for up to thirty days to prevent duplicate retention. Explicitly saved or exported files are separate and are not deleted by history expiry or when the original status disappears. You can delete them in Saved or your file manager. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes private history, but shared-storage saves remain. The app cannot recover statuses that disappeared before it saved or retained them.

Optional Message History

Message recording is off by default. After you explicitly agree and grant notification access, supported incoming previews can be recorded even when the app is closed. Other apps are ignored. Notification contents and searches are never sent to Firebase, AdMob, analytics, or another server. The database stays in private storage excluded from backup. You can pause, delete individual previews, clear history, choose seven or thirty days of retention from capture time, or revoke access using History > Message History. Android may delay cleanup while the app cannot run; expired records are removed before they are displayed. Content-free duplicate fingerprints may remain for up to thirty days to prevent deleted previews from returning. Uninstalling or clearing app data removes this local history. No notification preview is evidence that a message was deleted, and content never captured cannot be recovered.

Chat with Unsaved Numbers

You enter a phone number and optional message to open a WhatsApp conversation without adding a contact. The number and draft text are passed to WhatsApp, or to the wa.me website in your browser if the app link cannot open; their privacy practices apply. You still choose whether to send in WhatsApp. We do not upload these entries to our servers, Firebase or advertising or analytics services. Up to twenty recent numbers, country information and last-used times are stored locally. Remove an individual entry or clear recent numbers in Chat. Draft text is not stored in the recent-number list. Copying a number places it on the Android clipboard. This feature does not read your address book or require contacts permission.

Appearance and Local Preferences

Your light, dark or system appearance choice is stored locally to remember your preference. System mode follows the device appearance. Dark mode does not require an additional permission. Local preferences can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling.

Permissions

The app uses the system folder picker for status access. The Videos tab requests access to your video library so you can browse and play local videos. App notifications and Message History notification access are separate, optional permissions. You can revoke them in Android Settings. Media stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

Advertising and Data Collection

The app uses Google AdMob to display advertising. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics, and related information to provide, measure, and protect ads, subject to your consent choices where required. Status images, videos, contacts, and messages are not sent to AdMob. The app's status-media features continue to operate locally on your device.

Analytics

Firebase Analytics records app activity and advertising events using app-instance or device identifiers and related device information. Google services may process IP addresses and diagnostics. For privacy or deletion requests, contact kalebalram43@gmail.com.

Daily, Trending, and Notifications

Daily cards and Trending headlines are downloaded from Google Firebase. News metadata is supplied through NewsData.io. Opening a headline takes you to the publisher website, whose privacy policy applies. Optional notifications use Firebase Cloud Messaging, a device registration token, and your chosen language topic.

Google Play Purchases

Google Play processes subscription payments. The app reads purchase identifiers, purchase tokens, and subscription status to restore purchases and remove ads. We do not receive your card details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play.

Sharing, Security, and Retention

We do not sell your personal information or status media. Selected media is handed to your chosen app when you use Share; phone numbers and draft text are handed to WhatsApp or its website when you open a chat. Those recipients apply their own privacy policies. Advertising, analytics, content delivery and payment services handle the data described in their sections above. Local history and deletion controls are described above. You can revoke folder and notification access in Android Settings. We use reasonable safeguards and minimize the information handled by the app.

Children's Privacy

Status Saver is not directed to children under 13, and B.K Private Limited does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
